Did you know?

1. Does the name "Organika" mean that all raw materials are Certified Organic?
Over twenty-two years ago, long before organics became mainstream or trendy, the name was chosen to reflect health products that are naturally derived from the earth and nature, rather than of synthetic chemicals. However, some of our products are certified organic such as the Mushroom line. Why is it spelled with a "k" and not a "c"? The president and founder swapped out the letter "c" for a the letter "k" to represent Kuala Lumpur, the city where he is from.

2. What is an NPN number?
Due to the growing popularity of natural health products, Health Canada reformatted health product evaluation in 2004. Before 2004, health products were categorized as either a food or a drug. These categories did not provide customers with the information adequate to make an educated product choice. Currently, once Health Canada assesses a product and has decided it is safe, effective and of high quality, it issues a product license and an eight-digit Natural Product Number (NPN). As Health Canada is in the process of assessing products, Canadians still have access to the Natural Health Products they are currently using. Organika®'s Professional Line offers over 57 NPN licensed products.

3. What measures do you undergo to be certified by Health Canada under the Canadian Good Manufacturing Practice?
Through the cGMP, we ensure our Quality Assurance and Quality Control are of the highest standards. Canadian GMP certification maximizes the safety and efficacy of the natural health products Organika manufactures and distributes. Organika was the first health supplement manufacturer in Canada to announce cGMP certification. We are regularly inspected on premises, equipment, sanitation, raw material testing, packaging material testing and finished product testing.

4. How do you commit to Potency?
Organika strives to produce the highest efficacy product at the lowest cost to the client. As medical knowledge of natural products advances, Organika shapes the worlds latest scientific discoveries into innovative health opportunities. Through research on the latest naturopathic therapies and study of ayurvedic, traditional and herbal remedies, we align our two-fold objective to deliver competitively priced supplements without compromising quality, purity or potency.

5. What kind of testing is involved to ensure purity?
We make purity our priority. Our research and development team combs the world for the finest raw ingredients. Our in-house laboratory and a minimum of two additional independent laboratories analyze the exact content and quality of each raw ingredient.

6. What steps do you take to be environmentally-friendly?
Organika embraces purity and environmental responsibility to minimize our footprint as we step into a greener future. Through active involvement in PCPSA we advocate efficient collection and safe disposal of leftover medicines to keep our environment pure.
